Sometimes challenging and always inspiring, we are proud to recommend this superb label to our listening audience.

The completeness and perfection of nature.
(August 01, 2010) - Circlesandlines Recordings is a relatively new netlabel, but one that has in a very short period of time established itself as one of the best sources for new ambient music anywhere. Based in St. Petersburg, Russia, this beautifully executed netlabel was created for the purpose of putting the listener into a special state of mind for observing nature's beauty, A significantly higher purpose for ambient music is hard for us to imagine, and fortunately the music really delivers. We certainly love what we hear, and we feel listeners of StillStream will too.
 

Yuki Yaki

Focusing always on originality.
(July 01, 2010) - Since 2005, the excellent Yuki Yaki label has released ambient music, minimal techo, clicks'n'cuts, and other forms of subdued electronica of the highest order. Some of the best modern music available can be found at this nicely executed netlabel, including some truly sublime ambience of interest to all StillStream listeners. It is a great pleasure to recommend Yuki Yaki to our audience, and we encourage everyone who enjoys well constructed, mature electronic music to check them out right away.
 

BFW Recordings

Music is free!
(June 01, 2010) - Hailing from the UK, BFW Recordings has literally burst onto the ambient scene. In just thirteen short months, they have released over fifty superb albums, including quite a number that have found airplay here on StillStream. Not all of their music is ambient, but even the non-ambient releases have a continuity with the other BFW material that is really something special. Some of the best new ambient music we have heard in the past year has come from BFW - and best of all, they make all of their work available free under Creative Commons. We encourage everyone to check out this refreshing label today.
 

Public Spaces Lab

(May 01, 2010) - A netlabel we recently discovered that has really blown us away is Public Spaces Lab, who release a diverse set of electronic, experimental, and ambient music. Not only will StillStream listeners find several familiar names there, all with outstanding releases, they will also discover several new artists and albums of striking quality. Public Spaces Lab has only been around a few short years, but already they have made a big impact, and we are excited to see where they go next. A label to watch, for certain.

Trusting in the freedom of music.
(April 01, 2010) - D.N.A. is a relatively new underground netlabel from Italy that has a remarkably broad cross section of modern instrumental music. Ranging from challenging experimentalism and industrial noise all the way to some superbly crafted ambient music, this is a label that will appeal not only to the adventurous, but also to the listener who is looking for something fresh and original. We're very happy to feature D.N.A. and encourage all our listeners to check out their excellent collection of releases.

Exploring original ways of musical expression.
(March 01, 2010) - Petcord is a relative newcomer to the netaudio scene, but has wasted no time in making its mark, releasing several of the most interesting experimental ambient albums we've heard in awhile. While the music often covers many areas beyond ambient, their every release is of superb quality, and well worth your time to check out. One of the best-executed netlabels around, we are proud to give Petcord our recommendation.

(January 31, 2010) - One of the truly legendary ambient labels on the planet. Hypnos, together with its sub-labels Hypnos Binary and Hypnos Secret Sounds, has released music by nearly all of the greatest ambient artists in the genre, with some of the classic ambient albums of all time. But Hypnos is not just a collection of famous names; their enormous catalog includes works by a vast list of artists, at all levels of fame. But what never varies is the quality of the music, which can only be described as world class. One of our favorite labels, we're proud to recommend Hypnos to everyone who loves ambient music of any style.

(December 31, 2009) - A relatively new netlabel, Soft Phase has quickly established itself as a distributor of music of only the highest quality. Though the music covers several genres and tends not to "stare at the genres too much", the ambient releases on Soft Phase are just phenomenal. In fact, we can't say enough about all of their releases, which are uniformly superb. Best of all the music is all freely available, so there really is no reason not to go over there and download their entire catalog right now. Highly recommended.
 

Ambient Collective

Ambient to the core.
(November 29, 2009) - Originally just a community of artists, the Ambient Collective has grown into one of the power houses of ambient netlabels. Founded on the principle of collaboration, the Collective boasts nearly two dozen superb releases in a variety of ambient styles, all free, and all compilations or collaborations between folks who will probably be familiar to StillStream listeners. One of the must-visit destinations for anyone who likes any kind of ambient music. Highly recommended.
 

Eg0cide Productions

Experimental and ambient music.
(November 01, 2009) - Originally an outlet for the wonderful ambient music of The Ghost Between the Strings, the eg0cide netlabel has quickly become one of the go-to locations for contemplative and smooth dark ambient music by a growing cadre of artists. Some familiar names can be found there, along with some delightful new discoveries. We have been fans of this relatively new label since the outset, and are now very happy to feature it on StillStream. Check it out.
